Last time, I shared that we had become brand ambassadors for Keystone RV. I also told you we were on our way to a fancy video shoot 300 miles north of where we were building. We were excited to be back on the road and working on a professional shoot.
Unfortunately, we returned to absolute chaos on our lot a few days later. After several meetings and negotiations, we felt it was best ― and safest ― to give up the lot and go back on the road full-time.
We used our tiny construction loan to pay off what was left on the RV and set the rest aside for the next crazy idea we come up with. Honestly, we feel lucky to have walked away with anything at all. We are incredibly grateful to the people who stepped in to ensure that was the case.
One of the most tragic lines came from grandma. She told my missus:
Before you started RVing, I asked what you would do if you didn’t like the places you visited. And you always said, “I have a house on wheels. I’ll leave!”
This was the first time that wasn’t true. I feel so much safer now with you on the road than being tied into another crazy situation like that.
So, what exactly happened? Far more than we’d like to get into. We lost our lot, our peace of mind, and our dreams of building the dome. But, that’s ok. The house on wheels prevailed.
The adventures will continue!
